Final Major Project hand in completed!

Finally my final major project (Research and Development) has been handed in. The Project is introducing a new makeup range that specialises in camofluage makeup for skin imperfections and deficiencies. The project will result in 4 campaign images to advertise the makeup brand!

It feels so good to have this out the way, only now I have to put it into production for 7th may!

The new year and all...

I Probably should get more involved in this blogging stuff. However in my defence I have had a dissertation due in.
Whats new this week... well i've been asked to help out on a makeup shoot for a company called wow pamper lounge.
They'll be using my makeup designs for their website and advertising! It's quite exciting, I need to have a desperate clear out of all my makeup and throw out anything thats gone wayyyy past usable.
Other than that i'm back at Uni, went out with the girls last night for a meal at vodka revs. Definitely ordered too much food (Starter of hummus , bread and dip selection and then a sharing platter usually for 2 people). But starting from today the diet is on. Just found out that i'm going to Centre Parcs in April with the family, which means rapids and bikinis... Not good for someone addicted to cheese and sweets!

London calling...

My current project is called Style City, I have to pick a city and produce a trend forecast from it for spring/summer collection in 2013!
I've focused most of my attention on Brick Lane, London. This was the first time I've ever been and I was intrigued by the mix of culture and various fashion statements!

Whilst taking photos of People and places around brick lane we noticed a girl wearing a Bindi, this interested me a lot as a couple of weeks ago I was in Newquay and a couple of us went out wearing Bindi's, perhaps this facial decoration is becoming more popular and recognised as more of a fashion statement rather than a religious one!
Celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, madonna and Angelina Jolie were also known for wearing the Bindi as a fashion accessory in the 90s.

"The Bindi was traditionally worn on the foreheads of married Hindu women, it symbolizes female energy and is believed to protect women and their husbands. More recently, the bindihas become primarily a decorative accessory and is worn by unmarried girls and non-Hindu women"- http://www.religionfacts.com/hinduism/things/bindi.htm
